New trainees and apprentices off to a great start
22nd September 2021
We are delighted with the excellent start to the school year made by our 60 new trainees and apprentices.
All of us at NTTC are looking forward to working with the Class of 2021-22, supported by more than 70 partner schools, on their journey to Qualified Teacher Status.
Reflecting NTTC’s strengths in both Primary and Secondary teacher training, we have similar numbers training in each phase this year.
Almost a third the group are on Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeships, with the remainder on the School Direct pathway.
All will benefit from spending 4 days a week learning on the job in classrooms in our partner schools, supplemented by one day of Professional Development each week.
Jacqui Waring, Director of NTTC, said:
It’s been a great start to the new school year. All our trainees have had their first week in schools and have already learnt so much. We are looking forward to working with our partner schools to support all our trainees and apprentices to becoming fully-qualified, outstanding new teachers.”
